Geum ‘Tangerine’

Colour: oranges

$12.00

Glowing orange flowers of overlapping petals bloom in branched out sprays on tall stems. This is a large Geum resulting from a Geum rival crossing with an old favourite G. chiloense ‘Mrs Bradshaw’. A lovely free flowering Geum, here it starts in late winter, through spring and then surprises me with an odd flower in autumn.

Some years ago I purchased seed of that old stalwart ‘Lady Stratheden’, they grew vigorously forming nice clumps and then surprised me with tangerine flowers rather than the golden yellow I was expecting. Anyway it’s a lovely Geum. Sun/part shade. 80cm h x 40cm w.
