Iris bearded ‘Countess of Shaftesbury’

A beautiful historic Iris which produces in late spring and summer soft lemon yellow flowers on branched stems which rise from sheaves of grey green sword shaped leaves.
I’ve been collecting these historic ones for some time as they have largely been displaced by the large frilly petalled cultivars which made their appearance in the 1960’s.
