$14.00

Sweetly fragrant lavender blue flowers on tall stems, an ancient bearded iris with sword-shaped grey-green leaves. A native of Croatia, it has been cultivated since the 1500s, its name Sweet Iris stems from it being the source of Orris Root which has long been used in perfumery and even gin.
This beautiful heirloom iris is deer (a problem in the Southern Highlands and the Shoalhaven) and rabbit resistant.

Frost tolerant, it requires good drainage. Plant in full sun. A rhizomatous plant it will slowly spread forming a lovely big clump.
